Login and go to My Account. Use the update link next to the font name to upload an updated archive. You need to upload the entire pack and not just the updated readme file.

Jul 10, 2020 at 18:38  [reply]  Do I get paid to create a font?

dafont will not pay you for hosting your fonts on its site. However, it will allow you to accept donations if you wish to. dafont has no control over donations other than sending the donor to your PayPal account. dafont does not collect commissions from donations. The transaction is entirely between you and the person who makes the donation.

Donations are voluntary. People who download your fonts for personal use are not likely to donate but those who appreciate your fonts just might do. People who will use your fonts for commercial purposes are likely to reach out to you to ask for permission to use the font. How you go about that depends entirely on you. If your intent is to make money from fonts, I suggest that you put up your fonts for sale. There are many font vendors out there.

I agree that this had been copied from Taken by Vultures with deliberate changes made to some glyphs to make it "original." It's up to the admins to decide on this.

debbieabbe said
The creator of the font I am interested in getting a commercial license from says in his statement to contact the site that is handling his font. DK Lemon is the font. In his summary when I click on his name he has a Very VULGAR mouth!!!

Buying his font comes with a commercial license. Refer to the PDF inside the zip archive that you downloaded here at Dafont as to where you can buy his fonts..

If you want the designer to earn more, buy from his own website. He earns less from the sale of his fonts through font vendors listed on the PDF.

You should refer to a lawyer who has experience in copyright cases.

Here are some reads that might give you ideas

Do this. Select the text on which you want use the font on. Go to your font menu (what you said is your font list), then select the font that you want to use. Was the selected text now rendered in the font that you selected? It should be.

If not, what was the font that you want to use? Is that font available here at Dafont? Is your text in all lowercase? Or all uppercase/capitals like your message?

Jun 17, 2020 at 04:45  [reply]  How do you add new fonts to PicsArt?

I have not used PicsArt so I do not know how to use it. I guess it uses fonts like any other Windows programs.

Install a font in Windows (https://www.dafont.com/faq.php#win) and then open PicsArt. You should see the font you just installed in PicsArt's font menu.

The author is very clear about use of Chapaza for commercial purposes. He specifically states for you to donate $5 and that gives you the right to use the font for commercial purposes. He did not specify any other restrictions.

If you did that, then you have the right to use the font for your business. Is there any other thing that you need from the author? If you do, send him a private message at https://www.dafont.com/pm/post.php?user=747883 or email him directly using his PayPal email address. His email address should be in your PayPal payment transaction.

Dafont does not inform an author of any comments made on his font. Unless the author regularly checks for new comments, he will not read your comment. I believe on this author's case, he does not.

As far as licensing is concerned, the transaction is strictly between the author and the user/licensee. Dafont does not meddle on this issue. What Dafont does is offer a facility where a user can make a donation to a font author. Other than that, everything is between the user and the font author.

Ask the font author/designer if the commercial version has the characters that you need. If not, ask him if he is willing to add those characters

His email address and website are also listed at https://www.dafont.com/profile.php?user=638112

May 30, 2020 at 13:13  [reply]  Poorly displayed font on my computer

Although it fixes the problem, regenerating the font might unintentionally introduce changes to the font that the font author might not approve. As claudeserieux said, it is best that the problem is addressed by the font author.

Regenerating the font is opening the font in a font editor and creating the font again. It's like opening a MS Word document in Word then saving the document again without making any changes to the document.

I opened the font and the vertical metrics were correctly set. I regenerated the font without touching anything and the problem was fixed. The font editor might have decided to straighten out the mess.

May 29, 2020 at 21:04  [reply]  Donating to Author

That's the term used by PayPal and, when it comes to donations, it refers to the amount of donation that you are making.

If you intend to use a font for commercial purposes, get in touch with the font author/designer before making a donation and inquire about getting a license for commercial use of a font.

May 27, 2020 at 17:20  [reply]  Dear Authority

You can install Personal Use font in your computer. However, once you start making a profit from the use of that font then your use of the font is no longer personal. That is already commercial use of the font. If you do that, better ask the font author/designer first and inquire on licensing conditions for what you intend to use the font for

Also, some font authors/designers consider font use as non-personal if you publish your work, like posting it in social media, even if you do not make a profit for that. It is better to clear this with the font author/designer first. They are just an email or private message away.

May 09, 2020 at 19:15  [reply]  license for fonts

Only for the fonts you use. And get in touch with the font author/designer first regarding the specifics of the license.

Go to https://www.dafont.com/profile.php?user=682922 and click on "Send a private message"

Tell the font author how are you going to use the font and then ask him how much do you have to pay for such a usage. It is only him who could say how much the commercial license for his fonts would be.

If you prefer to contact the author by email, click on "Donate to author" and it will show you his email address. That is just a way to get his email address and not a suggestion to make a donation.

Talk to the font author first.

These are the 3 text files containing a list of kerning pairs in Fontlab's kerning folder. I am not sure but these are probably used by Fontlab when it autokerns a font.

@boodahbellie I do not know if Al Jones is still distributing his program but you can reach him through his website http://aljones.us/ He does not have the program there but just a way to reach him,

I still have a copy that I got from Al Jones 5 years ago in my Gmail account. It is version 3.0 compiled on April 7, 2015. Unfortunately, Gmail now says the "attachment contains a virus or blocked file. Downloading this attachment is disabled."
