Hi, this is weird. I'm installing a commercial font that came with 12 styles. I want to install 4 of them, but when I do, in Window's "fonts" folder just one style appears, as well in Illustrator. If I try to re-install a style, the system says it is already installed. Then, I uninstall the font, but I have do do it 4 times, while the showed font changes its name. Did anybody else have this problem? This is so annoying and I didn't experiment this issue before. By the way, I'm using Windows 10. I'll be glad with any help.

Hola, no me considero un maestro ni mucho menos, pero tras años de usar e investigar sobre fuentes tipográficas puedo decirte que muchas fuentes se parecen mucho, pero hay que ser un verdadero experto para notar las sutiles diferencias entre unas y otras. Lo único que está prohibido es el plagio, que es tomar un archivo original de una tipografía y simplemente cambiarle el nombre y autoría. Pero si lo que vas a hacer es tomar una imagen e mapa de bits del logotipo y "calcar" los caracteres para extraerlos, es muy difícil que la forma a la que llegues sea 100% igual a la original. Si tomas, por ejemplo, la fuente "Newhouse DT" y la colocas al lado de una "Nimbus Sans", parecen la misma fuente. Sólo si las superpones notarás las sutiles diferencias entre las curvas de cada una. Así que no hay reglas, el desafío, en todo caso para ti, consistirá en crear el resto de los caracteres para que parezcan pertenecer a la misma fuente. Como comentario final, debo decir que crear una tipografía no es fácil e involucra un extenso cúmulo de conocimientos, como cualquier especialidad dentro del diseño. Pero nada de eso quita que cualquiera de nosotros se embarque en una tarea tan creativa. Adelante!

Thanks, I think is very similar. Howevwer, the "A" type apex is straight and the "E" upper arm is shorter in my sample. Maybe I have to do some manual editing after all.

Hi, I'm having a headache searching for this font. I suspect it's very usual, but some features on it are confusing. This type is not Trajan, nor Friz Quadrata. The "R" looks old style, but the "J" has not a hook. Thanks in advance.
