Rodolphe, this would appear to be a browser issue. When I downloaded the .zip using Internet Explorer 6, the file was corrupted each of the six times, but it downloaded OK with Firefox. The corruption may be related to the terms of use text document. It didn't appear in the list of files when I downloaded using IE6.
Well I don't have IE6 to test it, but I've tried with IE7 and 8 and that's ok, so it doesn't really matter since IE6 is currently less than 3% of the visitors (and counting down...)

Pee Pants Script
You might want to ask Rodolphe about the download file, because I tried five times to download it, and all of the archives were corrupted.
works fine for me...

(genre logo)

(faudra quand même dessiner le tire bouchon)
There used to be here a font called The Aeroplane Flies High and that is still available
everywhere,
but it appeared that it's a rip-off
TF Avian.

I'm not expecting an email stating fonts were not accepted, just more clarity after hasty Submit button clicks to the length of time it takes for submissions, and that you will not get a response if it was not accepted. In addition to the note after submission, a mention of it in the FAQ's would be helpful to many. I looked high and low for an answer, and I think ended up emailing you after I submitted my first font here. FAQ's were more about font creation and download/installation in nature.
thanks, your presence here is appreciated.
Ok no problem, I've clarified the text and also mentioned it in the FAQ.

how about captchas, slowing down or blocking IPs that are downloading hundreds of fonts each day or blacklisting bots that are doing the same (I can't imagine the shoddy site owners doing this manually unless they're bigger losers than I thought).
Captchas would probably annoy human visitors even more than having to register, and I'm pretty sure that these webmasters do it manually (perhaps not when they build the site, but at each update...)
I know it takes time to look out for this crap and fix it but doesn't it just annoy you slightly what's happening? At the end of day making the shoddy sites' job harder makes daFont a better place for users and authors.
P.S. By "pursue" I meant to go after the issue; sending a letter or finding a solution other than suing (I'm not sure if you thought that because the word "sue" is in "pursue" ), as I mentioned above suing is "a little extreme".
Yes that annoys me, and I'm even more annoyed when they also clone the site layout and programming, but the fact is that I don't imagine one second losing my time and energy tracking the new clones + their further updates and the updates of the existing ones, sending them letters for each added font etc. And even if I did it, only the most honnest ones would respond anyway.
I've seen tons of clones in the past years, they usually live a few months/years and then disappear, and new ones appear... I don't care since they stay in deep of the Google results.
Hmm, just thinking about letters, considering my letters to the most of these sites have been successful how about we setup an open online petition on this issue for font authors that we can send out to these shoddy sites, you mentioned daFont has no rights but a petition filled by the rights owners would be quite powerful and perhaps legally binding (correct me if I'm wrong anyone).
I'm not certain of the efficiency of a petition, but why not...
(and I think like the others that filling/updating the readme files and font fields with your conditions is the basic thing to do)

typically you'll never know why it wasn't submitted, or if it was at all.
I can't recall if this info is in the FAQ's, if it isn't it should be.
It's mentionned (as daaams said) when you press the submit button.
It's frustrating to not know the status of your font submission. this bit of info would clear it up for many new people.
I'll consider that later (I have other prior things to do) but anyway you probably won't receive an email in real time, but once I have tested it on the site (for most of the fonts this is done a few days before an update)
The lines are too trembling, the edges are not clear enough, the thickness is too different...
I know that there are many fonts on this site with raw edges, grunge effects and everything, but it's often most a desired style then this one that seems less controlled...
Well, it's just my impression, I'm not a specialist. The fact is that handwritten fonts are by far the ones that I receive the most, and I finally put a very few part of them (those that I like the most and/or that are clean enough)
I'm very sorry
Perhaps you could upload it at websites like
deviantART that doesn't make any selection (unless I'm wrong)
Here is a
test page (will be deleted before next update) for those that wish to comment.
C'est la police de Dark Crystal (qui a figuré ici pendant des lustres mais qui a du être enlevée)
Evidemment elle est toujours téléchargable sur d'autres sites, par exemple ce clone de dafont
