Photolettering was a wonderful typeshop in NYC back in the day. They were the ones (with Herb Lubalin and Ed Benguiat) responsible for designing many typefaces we take for granted today. But I think a mystery is solved - ths was an early version of ITC Lubalin Bold using the ITC Avant Garde Bold Q
