Carlton goes back to the 1980s, and earlier, under it’s original name Ehmcke-Antiqua (no type historian here: just copied it from MyFonts).

The sample here has been compressed horizontally from the original typeface.

Looks like the sample in horizontally compressed.

I think Scriptina was the basis for your sample, and a designer modified it to suit.
