... or if you don't want to pay, use an other font that's free.

Download a commercial font for free, it's theft.

I'm pretty sure that the author will not be present at your even in a Philippines School. So, the risk is minimal...

Does public domain and creative commons fall into that category as well? Or, are public domain and creative commons a completely different thing?

No, it's not the same.
Creative Common is one licence (it exist many other). It has got some options. On e of this is "no commercial use".
For more informations :

Also, is a "Open Font License" the same as a Commercial Free license? Would I be able to use, for example, "Cedarville Cursive" by designer Kimberly Geswein over at Google, in a logo?

The best to have an clear and sure answer is to contact the author.

[email said[/email]]I have tried renaming them after I click "save as" but when it installs it still but the KB or DK right before the font name.
I have also went into my Fonts file and tried changing the name there and re-installing but it still uses the same name.

There is no relation beween the name of the file and the name of the font.

I believe you have to use a font software to open said font and edit the font info and change the name and then save the font.

Thechnicaly, it's possible but legally, it's prohibited to modify a font (even its name) without consent of the author.

Is it possible to do this? if so, could any of you tell us how?

Technicaly, it's possible to do that with a Font Editor.
Legaly, it's possible only with the permit of the author.

or even do this for us? (we can talk about payment in email)

Contact the author and talk payment with him.

Il est extrêmement improbable que ceci soit une police.
Personnellement, je n'ai jamais vu une font avec autant de détails.

How To Make It Look 3D Kind ??

A so 3D look is not possible to do with only a font. A font as got only 2 colors : filled ans empty.
But you can do that easily with any of graphics editors (PhotoShop, Gimp, Paint, Inkscape, etc.) or many word processors.

Any idea why The Kiss Font doesn't work in Phonto? All the other image fonts do.

Perhaps too heavy.

Quand on change d'ordinateur ou de système d'exploitation, penser à copier le fichier Font (entre autres).
