YFF RARE is a large multi-width variable typeface, created based on fonts from French newspapers of the late 19th century and foundry catalogs of the early 20th century.
A wide range from ultra condensed to ultra expanded styles allows you to significantly diversify your design project, posters and magazine headlines.
Ideal for logos both on packaging and in digital designs. Suitable for designing user interfaces, movie titles and can easily become the face of your brand.
YFF RARE typeface features a large number of decorative elements in the form of arrows, geometric shapes, fractions, indexes and other signs that significantly diversify and enliven your layouts.
The typeface includes 81 fonts with 9 unique widths, each of which has 9 typefaces from Thin to Black. In addition to this, there is one large variable font, where everything is combined into one convenient font file with two axes — the width of the letter and weight.
Initially, YFF RARE was supposed to be a simple font for everyday accidental tasks, but with each iteration it became overgrown with wider and wider styles on the one hand, and narrow ones on the other.
In the process of creation, futuristic grotesques of the 60s of the last century in the spirit of Horizontal (designer M. Miedinger, 1965) and Eurostile (designer A.Novarese, 1962) had no small influence on it, although the final font lost its excessive "squariness".
In the current version, the font supports basic Latin and basic Cyrillic, but in future updates it will get support for extended Latin and extended Cyrillic.
Stay tuned!
The period of work on the YFF RARE typeface is from 2020 to 2023.
