Gah is right! Well thank you for cluing me in. I am feeling a bit sleazy about how I have contributed to this now that I am understanding it much more. I had a font identified by your voluteers yesterday and they told me it was this expensive font which I knew I didn't spend that kind of money on. I then looked at another document and found a name in Powerpoint for it and it turns out it was a freebie by another couple who I think are not the sleazy type at all. It looks like the same font. But the fancy guy who was selling it for a lot of money I am not so sure about.
Can I ask you another question? I use my fonts for making teaching digital products. Very new and small business : ) I am not clear what kind of license I should buy. The lines with this blur as I try to make heads and tail of the license info. I will use one desktop maybe two at most. I will secure them in pdfs with password, for what it is worth but these get hacked easily. Are the expectations of the licenses even remotely realistic? I usually buy small commercial licenses from other teachers who make an sell fonts for maybe $5.00 per font per license. No one offers that clear small commercial license. I read these licenses and I am totally confused as to what they are meaning at times. When I first bought all the talked about is how many computer are you going to use them on and I said one. Now I am not sure what they mean. Do they really think small business is going to spend $250.00 for commercial license for one font? I use a few fonts for a lesson plan. I am willing to pay for a reasonable user fee on these but I don't know where to buy from now. I want the right people to earn from their hard work. But my products aren't that expensive either. I also don't understand all the different types of fonts and if they will work for Win7 and PP. These sites are jungles to try to decipher for my situation. Sorry to vent but I have been doing this for a few days and I am sick of fonts right now. I may just use the MS preinstalled ones and just teacher made fonts and keep to what I know works. Sites like this make me crazy.
Thank you Chronos, this must be it. I know the name was Akeem on the document so maybe I bought a knockoff by mistake and it was pulled? I don't know how you can know a font is legit and will be around the next time you need it? I don't know who to buy or download from now?
It was called Akeem but have no idea what happened to it.
I think the name is Campbell but can't seem to locate it.
I looked for it more and found out it was a free one from Kevin and Amanda called Baby Boston.
Lancon you nailed it!!!! Thanks a bunch. I don't know how you folks do this????
I hope this is the last font I have to locate for awhile : /
Thank you Jerseygirl!!! You nailed it! Case solved.
