This looks like it began life as Avant Garde Medium, but it's highly modified of course.
C H A R L I E is set in Windsor Bold, a common font from Elsner & Flake or URW

I have this font as Stormy Night- cannot recall where it came from: it's fairly ratty in construction.
That PDF contains Truetype and Type 1 fonts; no OTs
Dafont, or the font origin, has a virus.
clauseserieux, I have been unable for years to get Opentypes to translate into PDFS from OO documents. Would love to know if you have any insights on this. (I'm now using Libre Office, with no Help files)
I have DLed a dozen or so fonts in the last 24 hrs - all have been corrupt.
Mate, you have Avant Garde ALTERNATES. Herb Lubalin designed A-G to be customisable, that's why your lower-case letters seem to fall over. You need to get the normal A-G font. (Ha-Ha!)
alt.binaries.fonts have K22 Didoni Swash - no normals, just swash characters, but quite nice.
Thanks to Mans Greback for his fonts, but his latest ZIP files are letting him down: I have had 3 corrupt ones.
Fonts are not to be 'put into' any application as such. Install your font by copying it to C:Windows/fonts if you have a PC. Macs will be slightly different, but after installation, a font will be visible and available in all applications. (Beware! OpenOffice will use OpenType fonts, but its PDF maker will not accept them. Use Truetypes if you want to make PDFs in OpenOffice)
