What font do you think is used in this version of the speed channel logo? There is a later version of the Speed Channel logo that uses Plakette TS - Bold OBleque. But that font and logo uses smaller/thinner open areas in the letters.

This version that I have attached is more open on the inside and wider.

Any ideas?

What font is this? It is thick and flat on the top, bottom and sides. Kind of like a thick impact with flat sides.
I realize it has been italicized, and those pointy streaks were added on. I just need the basic font.

The font has been tricked out with the dashes and filled in areas.And there are black splotches and marks in there too. I thought they were put in after the fact, but if you look at the lower case "e" that swoosh mark is in the same spot on both areas it was used.
Any help identifying this would be great.
