Great! Thanks again!!

So, I've had a look at it and I can't find what you describe. The RO space was a tiny bit wide, but not enough to make it a mistake, just a matter of taste. So maybe I sent the wrong version? I'll submit it again.

Hey thanks for replying!

I've probably sent you an unfinished version then. I'll try again. Or if it indeed needs extra coding for the glyphs with diacritix, I'll just tear out that wide spacing for A L L C A P S all together.

Thanks again, I have work to do.

Hiya fontfreaks,

I started using Dafont to publish my free open source type designs a looong time ago and it's always been great. I went from a single simple clunky font to over 30 fonts and almost 3.5 million downloads, so I'm really happy posting my fonts here.

The Dafont staff reviews fonts before they get published, and I think that's a big factor for the success of this site, that's a really good thing. But that's also where things get complicated. Many of my fonts are just slapdash silly ideas, but sometimes I make complex fonts with a lot of coding and extended kerning etm. My latest font was the "Very, very punk font", which has a HUGE amount of coding, ligatures, kerning adjustments et cetera. It's a really big and complicated font, but they approved it within a day. Which was great of course!!
The thing is : I had expected it to be rejected. Years earlier I had submitted a font (Fanfarron, check it out on Fontspace.com) that also had coding to widen the kerning if ALL CAPS were used, just to make it even more posh. That submission was rejected, and Dafont's staff even sent me a one line email that read something like "WTF??????"
There is no way at all to contact Dafont's staff (except for what I'm trying to do with this post. I hope) to get an idea of what is and is not allowed. I assumed their 'wtf????' reaction was because they didn't feel like checking the long list of code (I had anticipated every caps combination), but the code of the Very very punk font was waaaaay longer and more complex.

So now I'd really, really like to know why my Fanfarron font was rejected, and if - I can imagine the DaFont gaining knowledge about coding - I can submit it succesfully by now?

Just a heads up: if you haven't paid for your logo's copyright (that's usually quite expensive), the logo designer keeps the copy (and author's) rights. So when you find the font, you're still not allowed to change your logo without getting consent from the original designer, which usually comes with an invoice for those rights. If you do so without their consent, keep in mind that they can sue you, and a judge can make you pay the original designer for whatever you've made or had printed with your altered logo, AND have you destroy all of it as well.

Go back to your designer and ask them for help, not us.

A heads up for the people of DaFont: I got a private message from 'Font Bundles' asking me to join.
Here's a picture: https://i.imgur.com/4RYwhQz.png

I'm not sure if this is done in cooperation with DaFont, but if it isn't: it looks like they're trying to steal your ad money.

Oct 25, 2018 at 06:02  [initial post]  How do I delete my font from this site?

I have a number of fonts that I made available on DaFont, but I'd like to remove a couple of the older, crappy ones. Is there a hidden button I'm missing? Surely there must be a way to remove them, when you're the author?
