I realise that this is an old thread, but I've looked for this font too and found that 'Doctor Glitch' was very close excluding the M & A but anyone wanting to use the same font really shouldn't be looking for a Metallica M & A style anyway (unless you're making a metallica related thing) as it's too well known as their brand. 'Doctor Glitch' is a bit more glitched than the Metallica font, but I really like it. I hope this helps others.
