Carl.2's suggestion of Avant garde is actually supposed to be the font for the abc logo. Because i was looking up the font and abc calls it abc modern. But this article states that it is actually an altered copy of Avant garde.
( ABC Modern is not modern. It is an altered copy of ITC Avant Garde, a typeface designed in the early 1970s by design luminaries Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase with contributions by others including the legendary Ed Benguiat. LoyalKaspar may claim that this is a wholly original design, but that’s disingenuous at best. They may claim that ABC Modern is based on the ABC logo designed by Paul Rand– created 8 years before Avant Garde. I would agree that the type reflects a strict adherence to circular geometry as with Rand’s ABC meatball. But 99% of ABC Modern’s DNA can be traced directly to its unacknowledged parent, Avant Garde, with other traits grafted from Futura (Paul Renner – 1927). )
So pretty much, some minor alterations will have to be made to achieve an exact result.
