Try Franklin Gothic - and then fill in the holes..
Thank you for letting me know. Sometimes I can't tell... I'll keep my toys here and continue playing... for now!

I think this use to be a font from Font Bureau called Gothic One or Two Oblique - I don't see it on myfonts.com anymore - it was a commercial font...
Some things never change.... (start singing here...) that's just the way it is....
I'm gathering the days of just saying the font and letting the OP look for it themselves is over?

We use to make them work for it - and now....

I don't know why he changed it - maybe just to see how it looked next to the sample... so thank you Rocamaco.

malvolio - don't pick on me - I'm known to gather up my toys and play elsewhere... lol

I've already had 1/2 pot of coffee - it's not helping... Nice of you finding Portago on myfonts.com - I couldn't -- it wouldn't show up, so I went to the source - ITC... a very legitimate (full price) site...
It is what it is because it was distorted.
The indentations match up - but you are right - less distress... probably because it's Sunday.
ITC Anna is a great match - and the original. However, this is what is recommended on dafont.
You are welcome.
Other options: URW Accidalia and Tunga Bold
and PS if you use Helvetica (it's Medium weight)
