To open a folder (directory is the correct word) you use Windows Explorer.

Happens when embedding is not allowed and you've set saving with embedding the font.

You're probably right. Most texts on her covers seem to be handwritten. One font that looks reasonably similar to the KE$HA logo is Vic Fieger's Under-Influence.
This is a very common font-style nowadays. Easy to make, requires no kerning or typographic knowledge. The most difficult part is the naming, license and copyright info. Too difficult for far most of the makers of this stuff.
Shab, font software, be it postscript, truetype or opentype, and CAD/CAM - CNC software are two completely different worlds and are not compatible.

By the way, if you want to use a 'free for personal use' font to create a logo for a band that performs for money, then that is commercial use.

7-zip can handle most any compressed file. Give it a try.
