@ notfon, it is not done to reply to someone who shouts.

Can you define close? To me that might mean something very different than it would mean to you.

There is no need to upload a sample. The cause of your problem is clear. You downloaded the font or long time ago, before 2004, or from another site than Dafont. You have the 2001 version, you need the 2004 version.

Why are you shouting? Please don't.

Aug 09, 2011 at 09:02  [reply]  Anyone else having trouble?

You have a connection problem. That file is a 736.37 KB monster, even the zip is 400Kb. If you are not on broadband or are on WiFi with a weak signal that is asking for disaster.

Why is the Sheldrake so special to you?

When did you download the freebooter and from where? The version here on dafont has correctly set ascenders and decenders and works fine.

This smells like a spam trap.

I'd go for the OL Hairline Gothic, max 12 pt and definitely Pantone 277.

See, the sponge has absorbed everything. Just has no clue what. General problem with sponges, no idea about extensions.

Now why Serge would you assume it downloaded from here? The infected brain doesn't even know where it got what from. I suggest we skip sponges from the protected species list. Agree?

edited for typo. kk

Yes, a brain virus. Another idiot here that at all cost will avoid to tell which font it is talking about.

Aug 03, 2011 at 18:55  [reply]  Number sizes in Scala Sans caps

There is no consensus it is merely a matter of the taste of the designer (alas, where have the type directors gone?). There is a golden rule though, an all caps text line shall never run over more than one line.

Personally I find all caps text unreadable, unacceptable and I will not read it. Even a header. I find it offensive. A short line small caps titling is the only thing I will accept. But that is me.

Or maybe Pantone 277 or 290?

That is because you are using the lowercase of the Caps face. The height of the numbers is correct, they are at cap-height.

Aug 01, 2011 at 20:29  [reply]  Any ideas?

Why do you think this is a font?

Didn't I mumble something about don't use the Arial?

Didn't I say that already?
