And once they got use to no electricity due to Hurricane Sandy - along came a Nor'Easter and dropped snow... Now that doesn't sound that bad... but the weathermen said the snow would not stick - and it did, to everything. So all the lovely debris piles and now snow mountains - but not for skiing...
Glad this one resurfaced - it just isn't a day without being able to look in...

There is a possibility that this is not a font - but hand drawn by a talented artist.
It looks like a House Industries conglomeration - between Chalet Comprise Hong Kong 1980 (a is different) and their old, off the market House Gothic HG23 Condensed (weight and S are different).
The only suggestion I can see - is go to Caslon Book - and white stroke it to thin it out - won't be exact but will come close....

At first I thought this was Copperplate (
http://myfonts.us/td-A7pZ6O) - but then I saw your "E" and knew it had to be Newtext from ITC. Your sample is fuzzy, 7th generation - R looks bent out of shape - can't see the serif on the "A" - but it's Newtext...
