Apart from the letter 'R' that doesn't perfectly match, it looks like ITC Handel Gothic with alternate letters 'N' and 'A'.

1980? This is, without a doubt, hand lettering.

Edit: That wasn't very helpful, so maybe you could take a look here for something with a similar vibe: http://www.letterheadfonts.com/fonts/styles/scripts.php

There are a lot more foundries out there with similar hand lettered scripts but this place came first to my mind.
