Perhaps a modified version of Karnak Pro Cond Black, which is based Morris Fuller Benton's Stymie.

Close, but O = D .
You can get close with Caslon Antique, if you edit the lower part of _J_
Interesting. Laffayette's Jaws Comic has the same letter forms as the font in the Avengers comic book but there are differences in details, some rather clear such as _G_ and _?_
I wonder if Laffayette's Jaws Comic was reverse engineered from a scan of a comic book that uses the font found in the Avengers comic book.
Anyway I agree that Laffayette's Jaws Comic would work as a close substitute. Unfortunately there seems to be no legitimate way to acquire it.
Perhaps custom for the comic book

For free, you can get a hand lettered approximation here at dafont
If you want free you won't get an exact match, which is found in Charles Rennie Mackintosh Classic Font from CRM
