Did you extract the font from the Zip folder that was downloaded? Try extracting and then try installing and opening.

If you're looking for a font with the bolted "O" you're probably not going to find one. Most likely this was just a symbol and someone took it into Photoshop or something and added it.

My best advice would be to go to the "Comic" section of the website and then press "More Options" and then set it so only Free and Public Domain fonts are shown. Then select your font of choice and use it for your comic.
