I agree that scotinaf found an "old copy of it" on a jump drive.
My note was intended to provide a link to a legitimate source that anyone could use to access the design. The differences between MVB Mascot and the other fonts mentioned -- all unavailable from legitimate sources -- would be difficult for most readers to detect.

Agree with Heron2001 that this is Athletic Script.
Clones -- none available from legitimate sources -- include OPTI Sport Script, Spoleto and Aktuele.
A cleaned up version of the design is found in MVB Mascot, which is a fair match for the image.
MVB Mascot is also available as a web font http://www.webtype.com/font/mvb-mascot-family/

Suggested font: Mascot

Lettering that mixes the Lombardic-Uncial style with standard Roman
Faust Text has a similar feeling for the Lombardic-Uncial style letters.

The digital revival of Cosmopolitan recreates a font released in 1896 by Inland Type foundry.

Revivals have also been also released under the names of Nelson and Alfereta, but they are not the exact font used on the website "50 Best Free Vintage Fonts" http://www.vectorian.net/50-free-vintage-victorian-fonts.html
which embeds Cosmopolitan by Wood Type Revival

I checked this about a month ago and found that this seems to be a private font for the graphic novels based on Robert Kirkman's lettering.
EDITED: So far, I have not found a close substitute.
