OPTIFutura-BlackAgency, stretched a bit, may do. This exact one has probably never been digitized.

May 09, 2015 at 21:32  [reply]  What font is this?

The full name of the font is Baron MT Modern. This sample the Fine face. It is a variation on the Monotype Modern, thus Baron MT (Monotype) Modern.

It takes about 4 hours to reconstruct this face for use on smaller sizes. For use on larger sizes that reconstruction needs a major clean-up which may take days if not a few weeks.

I think it was a Compugraphic revival of maybe the Enraged or something like that. Claude will know better.
Has been done by several 'foundries' like Brendel (Telescope and Essex), Novel (Energetic) and Castcraft (OPTIEnraged).

The extended version you show may be the Brandywine-Extended (Arts&Letters, the successor of Bay Animation, a notorious copier of fonts made by others. One of those 'what is mine is mine and what is yours is mine too' businesses. Most of those copies are infected with the pest virus. Beware!).

That is OK. Under the constitution and the European Treaty of Human Rights you have the right to express yourself as you wish. You have the right to define water as a dry substance and no-one can take that right away from you. But ... and there is always that nasty but ... some people might think that you don't know what you are talking about, as their experience is that when they jump in the pool they get wet.

Then call it lettering art or anything you like ... but not typography. As in the state as is the only thing it has in common with typography is that you are experimenting with letterforms. But you have not rendered anything usable (yet).

That ain't typography. That is vector art. Interesting as such but not typography.
