Alright, it's downloaded now but isn't showing up in Pages.

My 2012 iMac used to download TTF and OTF fonts onto Font Book very easily, but today I tried to download one and it wouldn't install. After trying a few different things, I shrugged and thought maybe that one had an issue. I then came on dafont.com and tried to download another; wouldn't work. And another. Why is this? After pressing 'install' and typing in my password, the usual screen where it showed the font you download didn't come up for any of them. I tried searching for them as well as finding them in Pages, but none of them installed. Can anyone help me? I have some posters as well as projects I really need those few fonts for.
