So i am trying to use a font that i can address letters with. I downloaded the font, put it into word but when i type the address there are giant spaces! i tried adjusting the paragraph spacing but didnt get it anywhere near close enough to put on an envelope. What am i doing??

You can not "put a font into word". MS Office requires a font to be installed, permanently or temporary, before either one of the applications is started.
