I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean in your second message though. There is a huge space between the "P" and the "i" as you can see here:

The only reason your font was rejected and you received an email regarding this was because of the lack of kerning on the preview sample.

Unfortunately this type of kerning doesn't seem to be taken into account on our side. One option would be to create a glyph in the private use area with a Unicode value to display your preview glyph the way you want it to be so there wouldn't be any issue.

It depends on different things.

If you submit an image and it shows the name of the font put in a specific way, we'll try to replicate that. But it won't always be the case. There are a few situations where we won't put it in form:

- You need to put alternates/ligatures in the Private Use Area so they have Unicode values and we can display them. @BrandedQuotes, that's why your "Ch" ligature wasn't displayed.

- If you provide alternate characters, there needs to be more than just the characters used for the preview. For example: if your font's name is "Computer", and the "C", "p", "t", "r" are the only alternates in your file, we won't display them. The reason is that we used to do that in the past, but some people found it deceptive because they couldn't use other alternates. So now we only display alternate characters when there are more that can be used.

- Sometimes authors forget to adjust the kerning with their alternates which means we can't display them properly.

- There are technical reasons too. For example if one of the alternates letters is really high or low compared to the other letters, the preview will appear much smaller than it should be.

- Another technical reason could be that the alternate characters have a rendering issue. That can happen for thinner letters for example. So if an alternate character makes the preview look more bad for a technical reason we won't display it.

Please keep in mind that everything is reviewed manually. We will also always put the preview in form the way we believe it looks best for the visitors. Of course mistakes can be made. So if you feel like there was a mistake in displaying the preview of your font you can of course feel free to reach out. Just make sure you have read this message before

The reason your font was rejected is that there is no kerning at all. Maybe you had an issue when you exported the file? What makes me think there was an issue is that you said you added kerning between uppercase and lowercase letters but there is none in your submission and it is the reason why it's been rejected. Also since not all letters are connected together, it would be better to adjust the spacing for the lowercase letters as well because not all letters have been adjusted.
