Why didnt my font get accepted?

Feb 05, 2013 at 04:19

My font is my orginal handwriting of how i write in real life. and someone request for it to be made into a font because i use that when i edit pictures and I didnt mind but Im wondering why it wouldn't get accepted like is there a way the styles have to be. If they have Script> hand wirting as a Topic should that be ANY type of handwriting and not everyone writes the same you know v...v

Usually fonts are not accepted if the quality is poor, like if the edges are very rough.

If it's not good enough for Dafont, you could always make a page at DeviantArt or Fontspace. Neither of them has an evaluation process, so anyone can make their font available for download there, regardless of the quality.

Hello, you didn't submit a valid font file (.ttf or .otf) but a zip containing .bmp images for each letter...

I tried to submit my Times New Roman font.

I didn't get any replies back.

LooneyTunerIan, wait a few days. I had to wait a few days for my fonts to get accepted, and I think I was lucky.

@malvolio, maybe somebody would tell you: "Sweetface, what do you expect if you submit a Times New Roman?"...

@ rocamaco, it wasn't sweetface who tried to submit Times New Roman, was it? She's done silly things, true, but not that silly

You really submit the Times New Roman from your computer? And you expect a response??
You're a nut, you're crazy in the coconut...

i guess LooneyTunnelman was joking...
why would he spend try creating his own version of Times New Roman, whereas he's always begging for us to create his Looney Tunes font for free/fun ?

Don't feed the troll.

Looney Tuner Ian did not submit Times New Roman, he submitted Times New Warner. He said someone helped him with that. But whether or not it's Times New Roman or Warner we have yet to find out. Let's hope it's the former.
