Trouble downloading font
My computer is saving the font as a Windows Media Player file. How can I fix this?
When you click on the download button, a window is opening, to choose the place where to save the file, isn't it ? Make sure that the extension of the file is .zip at this time.
This is what it is saved as on my Desk Top -- monogram_kk.zip
Oh, a person of great taste
So, .zip files is ok, that's not a WMP file
Okay, but when I try to open it the computer wants to open it with Windows Media Player. How come?
Right-click on the zip > Open with > Compressed folders (and don't forget to check the box that says something like "always open this filetype with this program"
)

Because for one reason or another on your computer the zip extension is associated with WMP. You will have to change that.
Out of curiosity, for what what are you going to use the font?
I don't get that as a choice when I right click on the file...
I want to try and make a monogram for a craft project.

Strictly private?
Yes, it's for a craft project for me... to put up in my home.
You were this close to have an FBI agent at your door

Goto Start > Help > search for zip.

The Windows start key, left down on your keyboard ... then click on Help
The only help I get by doing this is the Help and Support, which then takes me to a slew of suggestions... I'm such a novice when things don't go right...
type zip in the search box ...
save the file from this link :
http://www.winhelponline.com/fileasso/zip_fix_w7.reg
then double click the .reg file downloaded, this should restore zip files associations
