Simple font with all Caps characters exactly the same height

Jan 11, 2017 at 12:20

Hi There,

I noticed that my Arial font capital characters aren't exactly the same height.

As an example, '5' and 'K' next to each other have slightly different height positions - the '5' is slightly lower than the 'K'.

Are there any simple fonts (ideally free with windows) that have exactly the same height positions?

Thanks you for your advice and help.

James

Hi James,

The fact that all letters don't have the same height is absolutely normal. You can take a look here for more information about perceived height: http://designwithfontforge.com/en-US/Trusting_Your_Eyes.html

If you want to find simple basic fonts, you might want to take a look here.

If you don't mind fonts with fixed-width, many of the fonts in the Theme -> Basic -> Fixed width have numbers and capitals with (at least close to) the same height.
