Finding a font close to Colonna MT

Mar 31, 2016 at 01:36

Hey everyone,

So for a logo that I am working on, my client likes the letter forms of Colonna, but would like a font that has a solid form to it instead of an open face. I have looked everywhere that I can to find something very similar but I am striking out. Any thoughts or ideas? Thank you!

Wouldn't the easiest way to achieve this be to fire up a vector editor (Illustrator etc.) and fill the voids in Colonna?

I was thinking of doing that, but then how to I make it back into a font? Just use a Font editor and achieve it that way?

I tried a few chars following pilaster's suggestion but I find the result awful. I the tried moving the seperate parts of the glyps to the right to get a less extreme fat result but the same goes ... brrrrr ...

I had a play in Illustrator, and to be honest, the Kat is right, It doesn't look very good.

You wrote "So for a logo that I am working on," not that "I'm required to create a font". If it's a logo, why does it need to be editable i.e. a font?
