Odd spacing problem with OTF-font

Feb 23, 2014 at 16:26

Hello everyone,

I Recently downloaded the Latin Modern Math font (from here http://www.gust.org.pl/projects/e-foundry/lm-math/download). When I install this (on my Mac), I get this:

This doesn't happen with any other font. I already tried editing the spacing options in ttfedit, experimented with editing heading/font size/converted the OTF font to TTF,... but nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Note that the members of all the mentioned alphabets, except the main roman alphabet, should be considerd symbols, not letters; symbols are not expected to occur in a text stream; instead, they are expected to appear lonely, perhaps with some embellishments like subscripts, superscripts, primes, dots above and below, etc.
