How to delete certain glyphs from a font?

Jun 14, 2013 at 22:29

I have downloaded a font but it has certain glyphs which I don't want (specifically Japanese Hiragana and Katakana which in total is 92 characters) , because I have already have a font for these characters. I really like the font in general though.. So is there program I can use to delete certain characters for a font?

I'm afraid you're permanently stuck with them. Every document, from now on, must have at least some Hiragana in it, no matter what you write.

Use a pdf . It deletes the characters that are not used.

Legaly, you can't modify a font without the agreement of the author.

It necessary to check the parameter that specify if le PDF include all the letters of the font or only the used letters.
