in fact, I used ITC Kabel until now but for information every body, the last version of Quark Xpress don't anymore the possibility to get artificial italic and itc kabel don't have italic in his programm.
they says : This is done intentionally to ensure typographic quality.

So, this is what Quark ansxwer if you want italic anyway

How to Italicize fonts in QuarkXPress?

1. Please highlight the text first that you want to italicize
2. Change the font type of that text to Arial
3. Apply Italics to it
4. Again change the font type from Arial to your preferred fonts and then it should work.
