did you install it? extract the downloaded .zip and install the font inside. if it has already been installed and it's not working, what font is it?

It look like Futura Extra Bold but with some slight modifications and filled holes.

I think it is Kabel with a modified "l" and "r". If you look at the bottom of the "l" you will see it is slightly unbalanced and looks as if it was added later on, which makes me think that those letters are modified.

@Valentmont is right. This isnt a font, so you won't find it. It is an edited version of Arual.

I don't get it. You don't want Impact but, the image you provided is Impact... 
I don't know if this is a font but it has a cool grungy look to it and i like it. 
I think it is Avant Garde with Futura as the "R". Futura is blue and Avant Garde is red.

There is no need to upload a sample. The cause of your problem is clear. You downloaded the font or long time ago, before 2004, or from another site than Dafont. You have the 2001 version, you need the 2004 version.
Err, koeiekat...I deleted the old font file and reinstalled it yesterday after your comments, so I don't know exactly how the cause of my problem is clear - I don't have an old version as I double checked it yesterday following the comments on here. The original old one that I had on my system was also downloaded from dafont.com in any case.

Do you have the same problem when it is not in a .pdf format? Mine seems to work fine.
A few letters modified and kerning reduced.
