Hi,
I am looking for a type designer, Graham Meade, who designed a type face I need to purchase for work. I work for a small publishing company here in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is still struggling to get on its feet after the infamous Hurricane Katrina and the massive flooding of the entire city. You see, a client of ours supplied the font "Boneribbon Bold" (plus a few other variations of Boneribbon) for us to use to typeset her children's book. She informed me that the fonts belonged to her and were not "bootlegged" as she put it, and that they were commercial-use friendly. So, we typeset her book (which is quite adorable... I'm sure Graham would like a copy of the book, which my boss would be more than happy to supply free of charge).
However, once the book was ready to go to the printer and we tried to create a high resolution pdf (which is the only format the printer will take), a window popped up stating that Boneribbon had restrictions and thus could not be embedded into our pdf. This is causing a big problem. I did some research at work and found that the font was copy written by a company called GemFonts98, and that Mr. Graham Meade was probably the designer. However I can find no website for GemFonts98 where I can find out purchasing information so we can get a version of Boneribbon Bold we can embed in a pdf. I'm now doing this research on my own, outside of work as I've been asked to move on to other projects.
The children's book in question where the font Boneribbon Bold is used is REALLY nice, and it would be a real tragedy for me to have to redesign the book because Boneribbon will not embed into a pdf. Our publishing company doesn't have a lot of money, but would be willing to purchase Boneribbon for the sake of the book (as long the price is not astronomical, of course). Can you help me find out where I'd need to go or who I'd need to speak to/email to get a usable version of Boneribbon Bold? Any help would be greatly appreciated... and of course, I can supply the font's creator with copies of the book as well.
Thanks so much, Bridget
