The original font was definitely Crystal in my heyday. I saw you wrote that and I smiled - because as soon as I saw your sample, I knew it as Crystal.

The closest I've come to "Crystal" in digital form is Font Font's Scala Jewel Crystal Regular - it is heavier, clunkier, but tends to suffice. https://www.fontfont.com/fonts/scala-jewel/crystal-regular
