Help identifying the font used on this 'Piff' cap please?

That's a variation of the old University of Pittsburgh logo used in the 70's and 80's. It's probably a custom font created just for the letters used in the original work.

"The design is actually a stylized version of the signature of British Secretary of State during the French and Indian War (and later Prime Minister), William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, for whom Fort Pitt and later Pittsburgh were named."

So it's not a font, just a set of those particular letters.
