Downloading was no problem. Getting it into the windows was drag and drop. But that's the extent of my abilities and can't bring my font into Open Office. Is this even possible? How?

OpenOffice uses the fonts that are installed in your system and reads the list at start-up. After installing a new font (proper install is more reliable than drag & drop) you need to restart OpenOffice (including the Quickstarter) to see the new fonts in the Font Name list box.

With Office, you can use all the font installed on Windows.
