Font Identification for Historic Research

Apologies for the quality of this . . .

This is from a letter from 1925 from a Chicago-area architect, John S. Van Bergen.

Van Bergen was Frank Llyod Wright's last employee in the Chicago area before Wright closed his Oak Park, IL studio.

Van Bergen remained in the Chicago area, continuing to design homes in the "prairie style."

The Highland Park Illinois Historical Society is opening an exihibit of Van Bergen's work and would like to use the same typeface Van Bergen used to print literature.

The sample I have uploaded is a photocopy of embossing on Van Bergen's stationary, enlarged 400%--which is one of the reasons it looks so bad (the other reason being that I am not a graphic artist and don't have the skills to cleanly copy this.

Remeber, this is a photocopy of an embossing, so those dark shdows are not part of the typeface. Although they do not show well on the copy I have provided, there are horizontals in the letters 'H', 'E' and 'A'

Can someone assist and identify this typeface?

Thanks.

The chances of finding exactly this in digital format are - imho - minimal. Specially that R. So there are two options, or you (plural) go for something that gives the same sort of impression, or you (plural) get some high quality scans/photographs of a good representation of the typeface used so that it can be restored. Keep in mind, restoration is not done overnight.
Up to you (plural again )
