Segovia you should have seen the old site this is modern in comparison.
I would like to take a moment to comment about fontspace.com. Though it seems nice, they do not show you the entire alphabet of a font without a more protracted process of going through their graphics to get to it. Some of us, like to be able to see the alternatives and letter personalities. Just my two cents.
Fontspace also doesn't have any verification process for new submissions. Any valid .ttf or .otf file uploaded will be posted within a couple of minutes. This is good for the impatient designers who want their submissions to be downloadable immediately. It's also great for the six year olds who make a font in five minutes, and set the license as 'free for personal use'. It's not great for users who download unusable fonts that have technical errors, (no kerning, ascender/ descender errors, incorrect side bearings, etc.).

So you don't wanna develop dafont further, only because Fontspace has this only disadvantage? Fontspace looks better and has a fantastic usability and good sort order. Although dafont is very fast and don't annoy us with ads rubbish, it could be altered and modernized, it has aged.

There are no "6 year old designers", lol, bad comparison. But all free font sites have a lot of rubbish fonts with technical errors, none of them checks the quality of uploaded fonts. And there are thousands of handwritten fonts out there, that don't follow any rule.
What I meant is the better navigation, usability and sorting-structure of Fontspace, so that dafont can learn from it.
None of both is perfect, but Fontspace has advantages.
