I believe this was hand-lettered a long time ago. Some of the old type gang would tell you that if you are just looking for something similar try Honey Script. (In my head - that's the closest anyone ever came -- although one old sign painter would tell you he'd use A&S Snapper Script - http://www.artandsignstudio.com/snapper.html.)

Filmotype Honey -- not the font -- works as a substitute, particularly if it is horizontally compressed and made thicker.
