Font on academic paper

Hi, I've found this font in an academic paper and I cannot figure out what it is...

This is a problem font embedding and substitution.

UPDATE: as for the font, it's not Garamond, IMO

Hm, strange

C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\Adobe\Fonts\Reqrd\Base --> empty

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\PDFL\9.9\Fonts --> 27 fonts in total, but neither of them matches that, supposedly replaced, font

You can not use this font.
