Hello, I was downloading fonts to my laptop with Windows 7 on it last night & now my laptop is broken :( I'm no longer able to open windows explorer or even control panel to find the corrupted font. Seems installing fonts has caused a .cpl file to be corrupted or damaged. What can I do to fix this issue without a doing a system restore point?
Edit: Was actually able to fix this issue fairly quickly by opening task manager with ctrl+shift+esc, ending windows explorer & going up to file > run > explorer in tskmngr to reopen it. Seems to have fixed all ill effects & serves as a reminder not to install fonts with windows explorer already open. From now on will be installing all fonts with explorer browers closed
