I have a Windows Surface 2 laptop and I was able to download some of my favorite fonts from this website and they show up in my fonts and come up in the font bar on Word and Powerpoint but when I type words using the fonts, they show up as the default font even when the downloaded font is selected. How do I fix this?

If the fonts show up in Word, just highlight all your text (Control-A)and with the text highlighted, select the font you want.

That was the first thing I tried. Even when I do that it is a default font. It's like the font is downloaded but word doesnt recognize that it's a different font.
