is this standard procedure for dafont.com? it's not a money thing for me personally but it is a recognition thing. If anyone knows the reason for this drop me a line. it may be part of the Terms and conditions that i ignored, but I'd still like to know.

people get some content somewhere and distribute it somewhere else, just in order to get some trafic on their website.
type on google the name of any font from dafont, and you'll find it somewhere else, even if it was only uploaded on dafont.

That's the way it is.
Like movies sharing, like music sharing,... like any other numeric file, in fact.

Dafont is not responsible for that.

When you have created a new font, it is a good idea to first go to
File > Font Info > Names and Copyright,...
On the copyright page you can enter information about the creators of the font.
