The logo is a version of a font called Hawthorn, patented Sept. 6, 1910 by W.W. Elcombe and assigned to the Western Electric Company. For a pdf of the patent see http://www.beatriceco.com/bti/porticus/bell/pdf/40862.pdf
For an automatic download from the Porticus Center at http://www.beatriceco.com/bti/porticus/
click this link http://www.beatriceco.com/bti/porticus/bell/images/Hawthorn.TTF
For a history of Western Electric, including the source of the font information see http://www.beatriceco.com/bti/porticus/bell/westernelectric_history.html
p.s. There is a digital font called Hawthorn that is unrelated to Western Electric's Hawthorn.
