Help with Bombshell Pro

Jan 01, 2015 at 18:57

I purchased this font last year and use it fairly often, but can't figure out how to use the extra characters and such. I know about the swashes made using == and ++. Does anyone know how to get the special "and" and "the" that prints diagonally? Any help would be appreciated!

The extras only work with otf savvy applications. That is only the extremely expensive professional Adobe apps. They are out there in the wild.

@jmullican6 how do you use the == and ++ for swashes? I just purchased this font hoping to use it in word. I don't have any adobe programs and was really hoping I wouldn't need them

I don't use Windows, but this seems to be the solution (not for Opentype support, (as Kat has pointed out)

On a Mac you can access special characters using Character viewer.

The swashes are so pretty and really add something special to your project. For the beginning swash, just tap the = twice. Type the word or phrase, then tap the + twice for the ending swash. Super easy.

Good luck and have fun!

thank you for the quick reply. I have a mac but use microsoft word on it, seems like that trick is only working in Textedit.
I will figure something out. Thanks again.

You can send an email to the designer

You need to type == and ++ and then turn on the Standard Ligatures: http://myfonts.us/td-o3H3jZ

I have never had to turn anything on to use this feature. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working for you @astickyplace.
