old font from the 20s
Bonjour à tous
Je cherche désespérément une font s'approchant au mieux de cette image en pièce jointe...
Merci pour vos conseils avisés !

Need help, do you have any idea?
Seems to be a scanned page of a very old book, from the 20s/30s.
Thanks!

Suggested font
Broadway Outline Suggested by Arthole
Looks like this one escaped from being digitized. But as you know ... nothing lasts forever, so here we go
By the way, blibou, do you have more of this or can you tell me where there is more of this? Another btw, 80-90 years is not that old for a book

Which one on which page might that be Claude?
Maybe someting like this?

perfect koeiekat! is it "home-made"?!
can i download it somewhere?!
What do you want it for? But First where did you find this thingie?
I think it is a very beautiful font, and I don't have a precise reason, except that I like it
I am not a professional designer / photoshoper, juste an amateur that likes beautiful things
I found it an a tumblr blog about typography, but I do not remember where, I just downloaded the picture to look for the font

... Ce modèle est très simple à reproduire.
Indeed Claude

Only three basic shapes. Done in no time

koeiekat, would you be OK to share it?
When all you want are these capitals, yes, but promise you will not redistribute the font and will not do anything with it where money, not even a cent, is involved.
I will not do that kind of stuff, and trust me that if this was really really important I would open my Illustrator and would take 1h to create the font
If you are quicker than me, more talented, and if you already have done the work, it would be great to share the file
You can trust me on this
I have to make sure blibou, as you will understand. By the way, you can not make a font in illustrator. Shapes yes, fonts, no. The one you get has very tight spacing which may change after I have added a lower case and Western European accented characters. But that, indeed, takes more than 2 hours.
... ?!
Yes I know how to make a font, I made few months ago my own handwriting font, again, just for fun, to be able to easily "write" on some holidays pictures
But if you do not want to share the font, it is not a problem, I do not want to fight for this
Cheers
The closest I can find is Broadway Outline D:

Hope that helps.
Thanks Arthole, you're right! It's quite close!
But this font is less "pure", less "perfect" than the one I was looking for

@blibou
ever checked your mail?
YES
Thank you very much koeiekat, it's really nice of you, and again, be sure that I do not plan AT ALL to make any kind of business with the font
I just tested it in a simple Word doc, it's really neat, i'm impressed
Thank you very much again!
