Interesting quirk of a few fonts I've downloaded

Feb 24, 2014 at 17:20

I only recently ran across this web site, and I've downloaded a number of the fonts I've found on here. I recently found that when using these fonts in Adobe Illustrator, and then I create outlines of the fonts, a handful of them will create the outline of a letter "B" anywhere a new paragraph starts. It's not a big deal to simply delete the shape, but I was wondering if anyone knew why this happens, why it's not every font, and if there is a way I can fix it? Is it part of the font writing code, or is it something I can fix as the user?

Thanks everyone!

There are more than 23,000 fonts available on DaFont. No one can or will help you with this inquiry, if you don't tell us which of the fonts you've installed have this quirk.

It should not have been necessary for me to point this out.

Of course not. But you know as well as I and others do, that the grand majority of the American posters on this forum simply assume that anyone can read their mind. Yes, I agree, that is pretty stupid indeed.
