Fixing "L" on my websites font (WILL PAY $$$)

Hey I downloaded a font for my website, but it looks like the letter "L" on it is faulty, especially when it's placed next to the letter "Y". Here's what I mean on my website:

http://www.precisionwrittens.com/how-it-works/

However this is a big deal bc we use the word "Lyricist" a ton throughout our site and the LY-ricist makes the word appear oddly spaced as you can see on the banner to that page.

I was hoping to find someone that could edit this font and fix that letter "L" for me. I will pay for it.

Thanks

So you can do it then?

No - you can fix it yourself. Play with the spacing between L and Y.

Yeah but I have absolutely NO clue how to do that :/

Are you sure you want to continue with this font for your website? It is not for nothing it is a freebee. Looks like it is just an Alpha version which needs a lot to be done before it is usable.

Which font is it, specifically, and can you contact the author to add kerning pairs? Otherwise, there are a LOT of similar fonts out there to this one.

I want the EA Font that they used for Madden and Tiger Woods Game Covers, and this is the font that comes to closest to it. I couldn't get a hold of the author and yeah it does has some flaws but it's what I'm looking for. I don't know how to use the lettering.js. Could you just quick go in and edit the "L" and then I'll pay you for it?

It's is called "EA Font" on dafont, which is where I got it. If you know of any similar fonts, let me know because I found a bunch but none quite like this one

In your webpage it is named EASPORTS15-2 right? Here on Dafont the name is EASPORTS15.

You mean this one?

I dont know what that is :P

Wow, that font is crap. Doesn't even have SPACING in it, much less anything resembling proper kerning. (I don't say this easily, as I don't like to poop on other fonters' work.. but, really, this one is bad. I had far superior fonts rejected here, and I honestly don't know how this one got allowed.)

Jun 04, 2013 at 22:14

What do you mean it doesn't have spacing? and could you fix it? I would pay you?

Jun 04, 2013 at 22:55

I charge $40 an hour for custom work, and this would probably be a three to four hour job. It's not a terribly complex font, but I would have to match it to the source material perfectly. This really isn't a question of 'fixing' the font, as this specific one needs a complete 'do over'. :S

Jun 04, 2013 at 23:02

Ok so you'd be asking $120-160 for the font overhaul?

Jun 04, 2013 at 23:12

Correct, and that does NOT include a full transfer of rights. That would cost more.

Jun 04, 2013 at 23:27

What do you mean full transfer of rights? You saying it would be your font, and I'd have to buy the rights to use it from you?
