Flux Architect - MAC & PC issue

21.01.2013 um 01:36

Hi,
I currently use both a MAC & PC, I hae downloaded and installed Flux Architect on both computers.
My issue is that in programs such as microsoft word, MAC labels the font as Flux and PC uses Flux Architect. I have tried renaming the font on either computer with no result.
Is there an easy fix for this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That is because in the naming section of the font header it has different names for Mac and Windows. You need a font editor to change that.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Am I able to do that with a free font editor? Any recommendations for which one?
or
Is the font licenced and only able to be changed by the creator?

The font has been updated, delete the old one from your computer and install the new one http://www.dafont.com/flux.font

The Unique Identifier is still wrong - imho

Ok I have reloaded on PC and MAC. It works fine now, names the same & compatable with programs when opened on a MAC & PC.

The next query is whether a degree symbol has been made for this font? It only shows as a square?

The .notdef glyph is for providing the user feedback that a glyph is not found in the font.

The .notdef glyph be either an empty rectangle, a rectangle with a question mark inside of it, or a rectangle with an “X”

is it difficult for a novice to add one?

Flux Architect is a stripped lookalike of Will Harris' Mr Hand. If you want/need a full character set you'll have to buy the original.
